Meet the Team

  • Sara Wilson, MPAP, PA-C, CLC, MSCP

    FOUNDER, PHYSICIAN ASSISTANT

Sara is a seasoned Physician Assistant with a heart for all things women’s health, graduating from Campbell University with her Masters in Physician Assistant Practice in 2017 and starting her private practice Wonderfully Made Women’s Health PLLC in spring 2025. Prior to graduate school, she studied Biology and Exercise and Sport Science with a minor in Art History at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill.

Throughout her years of practice, she has come to find her calling in caring for women across the lifespan, with a special love for supporting breastfeeding mothers + babies, as well as women navigating perimenopause and menopause. Though these are seemingly two very different areas, they both combine her adoration of God’s design of the female body + all it can do, and her mission to help fill the gap in areas of women’s healthcare that exist today. Her care is marked by an evidence-based, patient-centered approach rooted in shared decision-making. She holds additional certifications as a Certified Lactation Counselor (2021) and a Menopause Society Certified Provider (2024). In addition to serving her NC community as a PA, she is a wife, mother of 3, and member of The Summit Church in Fuquay. In her free time, she loves to write, explore local eats, walk with her dog Jonah, and enjoy a warm almond milk latte.

  • Stephanie Gooden, MPAP, PA-C

    PHYSICIAN ASSISTANT

Stephanie is a seasoned Physician Assistant with years of experience caring for women in a Primary Care setting since graduating from Campbell University in 2019.. Prior to graduate school, she studied Biology with a minor in Chemistry at the UNC-Pembroke. Stephanie is accepting new patients for hormonal health visits.

She has a passion for supporting women during perimenopause and menopause, completing additional training in this area through The Heather Hirsch Academy. In addition to serving her NC community as a PA, she is a wife and mother of two. In her free time, she enjoys spending time on the water at White Lake, trying new coffee shops, and exploring new places.

  • Hannah Toney, MPAP, PA-C

    PHYSICIAN ASSISTANT

Hannah is a Physician Assistant who cares deeply about supporting women through the many transitions of life. She earned her Master of Physician Assistant Practice from Campbell University in 2023. She also completed her undergraduate studies at Campbell, graduating with a degree in Biology and Religion. Studying these fields together shaped the way she approaches medicine — teaching her that science and faith are not opposing ideas, but complementary ones. Science provides the knowledge and tools to care for patients well, while her faith has cultivated compassion, humility, and a strong sense of responsibility toward others. Together, they continue to guide her commitment to thoughtful, patient-centered care.

Hannah’s clinical experience spans primary care and women’s health, and she is committed to delivering evidence-based care grounded in education, trust, and shared decision-making. She has a growing interest in supporting women through hormonal and reproductive health changes and is currently preparing for Menopause Society certification as she expands her focus within this field.

Outside of clinical practice, Hannah recently welcomed her first baby and is enjoying this new season of life. She loves spending time outdoors, enjoying good coffee, and relaxing at home with her two cats.

  • Michelle Janyska, RN, BSN, IBCLC

    INTERNATIONALLY BOARD CERTIFIED LACTATION CONSULTANT

Michelle is a Registered Nurse with more than 30 years of experience, beginning her career after graduating from the University of Maryland at Baltimore. Throughout her nursing journey, she has dedicated herself to supporting families and children in a wide range of roles, including work with chronic childhood health conditions, the Healthy Start program, and multiple research initiatives—among them a breastfeeding program at Johns Hopkins. After experiencing her own breastfeeding challenges and low milk supply with her first three children, Michelle felt called to pursue a career in lactation.

After relocating to Holly Springs, NC over 20 years ago, she joined Duke Health, working in postpartum and newborn care, where she earned her International Board Certified Lactation Consultant (IBCLC) credential. She later transitioned to WakeMed Cary, known for its exceptional breastfeeding rates, where she discovered her passion for teaching families how to feed their babies and supporting birth parents in reaching their feeding goals.

Recognizing a growing community need for lactation support and access to breast pumps and supplies, Michelle opened a private practice that served families across the Triangle from 2008–2018. As insurance coverage shifted within the lactation field and she sought greater clinical challenge, she transitioned to a lactation consultant role in the WakeMed Raleigh NICU for 5years. There, she developed deep expertise in supporting complex feeding challenges, gaining proficiency and confidence in guiding families through even the most difficult situations.

As a compassionate lactation consultant, Michelle finds it deeply meaningful to witness families succeed in their feeding goals. Even with her extensive experience, she encountered unexpected challenges with feeding her fourth child—an experience that further strengthened her empathy and fueled her dedication to supporting families who often need encouragement and guidance after bringing their baby home.

Outside of her professional life, Michelle enjoys time with her husband, their four daughters, two bonus sons, and their beloved mini–German Shepherd, Meatball. She is an avid reader and participates in two book clubs. She also enjoys crocheting with a community group that donates handmade items. Michelle serves as a co-leader of the Embrace Grace/Life group at her church, where she offers support to single mothers.

  • Taylor Smith, IBCLC

    INTERNATIONALLY BOARD CERTIFIED LACTATION CONSULTANT

Taylor comes from a background of serving others; before becoming an Interdisciplinary Doula, her roles all involved taking care of others. Her own birth experiences allowed her to answer the call to Birth Work. Taylor prides herself on her dedication to those she works with and genuinely loves to see families and their babies thriving. Taylor has strong interests in science, nutrition, herbal remedies and lactation. As a current International Board Certified Lactation Consultant (IBCLC), she has added to her personal knowledge of breastfeeding and is extremely passionate about helping women through their breastfeeding and pregnancy journey. Taylor also served as a Peer Counselor with WIC; while supporting mothers and babies in her capacity there, she honed her counseling skills to ensure mothers have culturally competent emotional support alongside the physical.

  • Alicia Luchsinger, IBCLC, CLC

    INTERNATIONALLY BOARD CERTIFIED LACTATION CONSULTANT

Alicia is an Internationally Board Certified Lactation Consultant (IBCLC) serving New Hanover, Pender, and Onslow Counties. She has been supporting families with lactation and infant feeding since 2015, providing compassionate, personalized care for every parent and baby. Her practice is built on respect, understanding, and a belief that all families deserve access to skilled, evidence-based lactation support.

Alicia began her lactation career as a Certified Breastfeeding Specialist in 2015, became a Certified Lactation Counselor in 2016, and served as a Breastfeeding USA Counselor from 2017 to 2023. Her dedication to the field culminated in earning her IBCLC credential in 2020 after completing more than 1,000 volunteer hours in her community. Alicia also worked in a hospital setting in Wilmington, NC, for 2.5 years, gaining valuable experience supporting families through a wide range of feeding challenges.

She specializes in return-to-work pumping plans, weaning support, and helping families identify and navigate potential oral tethers or feeding restrictions. Alicia’s number one priority is helping families achieve pain-free breastfeeding—because pain means there’s room for improvement, and she loves helping parents find ways to strengthen their milk journey.

Alicia’s eclectic background gives her a diverse knowledge base to help solve complex lactation challenges. Outside of lactation work, she enjoys sewing, visiting museums with her family, and traveling. She is a Lifetime Member of Girl Scouts and an active volunteer with her children’s PTSA and PTO. Alicia and her wife love Disney Cruises and playing Mario Party together.
