Physician Assistant, Menopause Specialist - Independent Contractor, Part-time
About Us
Wonderfully Made Women’s Health is a women’s health practice dedicated to serving women with compassionate, whole-person care. We specialize in supporting women through the unique challenges of menopause and beyond, offering evidence-based medical care, encouragement, and personalized treatment plans. We also specialize in lactation and breastfeeding-related care, but this role would be focused on menopause care.
We are seeking a part-time Physician Assistant (PA) to join our team as an independent contractor. This role offers the opportunity to walk alongside women during a transformative season of life, helping them thrive in their health and wellness.
Position Details
Title: Independent Contractor – Physician Assistant, Menopause Specialist
Reports to: Owner/Clinical Director, Wonderfully Made Women’s Health
Status: Part-time, Independent Contractor (1099).
Pay is per visit, at a competitive rate.
Contractor is responsible for their own professional liability insurance, physician supervision as required by the NC Medical Board, taxes, health insurance, etc.
Responsibilities
Provide outpatient medical care for women with a focus on menopause, perimenopause, and related women’s health concerns.
Conduct patient evaluations, order and interpret labs, and develop individualized treatment plans.
Prescribe medications and therapies in accordance with state laws and collaborative practice agreements.
Educate and counsel patients on lifestyle, nutrition, and integrative approaches to managing menopause symptoms.
Document all patient encounters accurately in the electronic health record.
Collaborate with the owner/clinical director on complex cases and ensure continuity of care.
Maintain professional licensure, DEA registration, liability coverage, and continuing education.
Provide care that reflects the mission and values of Wonderfully Made Women’s Health, respecting each patient’s values, dignity, and goals.
Qualifications
Current Physician Assistant license in North Carolina in good standing and NCCPA certification.
Experience in women’s health, menopause care, or primary care strongly preferred.
Certification as a Menopause Society Certified Provider (MSCP) or willingness to obtain this certification within 1 year.
Strong diagnostic, clinical, and communication skills.
Compassionate, patient-centered approach to patient care.
Ability to work independently while collaborating within a small practice setting.

Contract Details
Type: 1099 Independent Contractor (not an employee).
Compensation: Competitive per-visit

Internationally Board Certified Lactation Consultant (IBCLC) - Independent Contractor, Part-time

We are seeking a part-time Internationally Board Certified Lactation Consultant (IBCLC) to join our team as an independent contractor. This role offers the opportunity to provide meaningful, one-on-one support to families while working in a flexible, collaborative environment.
Position Details
Title: Independent Contractor – Internationally Board Certified Lactation Consultant (IBCLC)
Reports to: Owner/Clinical Director, Made to Mother Lactation PLLC (dba Wonderfully Made Women’s Health PLLC)
Status: Part-time, Independent Contractor (1099).
Pay is per visit, at a competitive rate.
Contractor is responsible for their own professional liability insurance, taxes, health insurance, etc.
Responsibilities
Conduct in-person and/or virtual lactation consultations with mothers and families.
Perform comprehensive lactation assessments, including latch, milk transfer, supply concerns, pumping, and feeding plans.
Provide evidence-based education and individualized care plans tailored to each family’s needs.
Maintain accurate, timely documentation in the electronic health record.
Collaborate with the owner/clinical director and refer to medical providers when necessary.
Educate and empower mothers with encouragement and practical tools to meet their breastfeeding goals using evidence-based practices and compassionate, patient-centered approach rooted in shared decision-making.
Maintain IBCLC certification, professional liability coverage, and continuing education.
Uphold HIPAA compliance and patient confidentiality at all times.
Qualifications
Current IBCLC certification in good standing.
Experience in outpatient or private practice lactation support preferred.
Strong interpersonal and communication skills with a compassionate, patient-centered approach.
Ability to work independently and manage flexible scheduling.
