Now enrolling October, November, December due dates!

You want a great start to breastfeeding, but that rarely just happens.
You need to prepare for it, protect it, and advocate for it.
Mother’s Milk Academy
Your body and your baby were
made to breastfeed…
But we’ve lost generational knowledge about breastfeeding and a correct cultural perspective of what’s biologically normal and good for a mother and her baby.
Our medical system does a poor job of supporting breastfeeding, and for decades pushed formula as the superior option. That understanding may have shifted back to what we’ve always known- that human milk is the best nutrition for our babies (and breastfeeding is health-protecting for us as mothers too) but we’re still inundated with unethical formula marketing, unsupportive work and public environments, rampant misinformation, and the belittling narrative that “fed is best.”
No… what’s best is that you and your values, desires, and goals as a mother are supported and protected.
That’s my mission. That’s why I started Mother’s Milk Academy. To teach you generations-old wisdom + up-to-date best practices of how to breastfeed comfortably and effectively, to connect mothers walking through similar seasons of life, and to empower you to advocate for yourself and your baby.

You want to breastfeed, on your terms?
and know how to advocate for it?
Get ready to go all in.
CONFIDENCE FROM DAY ONE
You’ll learn exactly what to do day-by-day during your first week postpartum, create a plan for all the “what ifs,” and know how to advocate for yourself, your baby, and your breastfeeding goals. You’re in charge.
EXPERT-LED SUPPORT
You’ll get evidence-based, experience-proven breastfeeding advice combined with the practical wisdom you need but no one is telling you (hello, Sisterly Guide to Postpartum guide!). You’re never alone. Lean into your instincts and lean on a medical professional + fellow breastfeeding mom who gets it.

Sara is a Certified Physician Assistant with a license to practice medicine in North Carolina and a Certified Lactation Counselor, but membership to the Academy does not constitute a patient-provider relationship. With that in mind, you should always consult with your and your child's medical care team, who know you and your medical history and situation personally, before implementing any changes to your infant feeding and lactation-related practices. All decisions you make are your own. In cases requiring personalized medical evaluation, Sara will refer you to schedule a one-on-one consult with her virtually or in-person using your insurance plan or a cash-based fee for non-accepted plans (you must be located in North Carolina, per rules of the NC Medical Board), or recommend you do so with another medical provider in your area.
Testimonial Disclaimer: I’ve included patient/client feedback and reviews above to demonstrate the outcomes, thoughts, and feelings that those individuals personally experienced.
